Seeing Northern Utah, it's no wonder why everyone here takes their photoshoots up in to the mountains. But depending on the time of year you may get rained out, or you may get a tropical background that really adds that "WOW" factor to your maternity photos! I am a Logan Utah photographer and normally I do most of my photoshoots in Logan or in the Logan Canyon, but for this client who was 2 weeks out from her due date-- we went up in to Preston Idaho to the mountains of Franklin Basin.
A Special Photoshoot For The Mommy To Be
Your first pregnancy is always so special, it's the last time that it will just be you and your partner, and the first time you get to bring your "Mini Me" in to this world. You are going to want that intimate moment captured to share with your kids as they get older. And honestly I don't know what is more intimate then dancing in the rain like you are back in high school, only focused on the family that you are creating together. I think what made this session even sweeter is that there is no cellphone access up in those mountains, so this couple was able to fully enjoy this moment without interruptions.
Capturing The Candid Moments
During this maternity session, I gave this couple very little direction other then where to sit and stand. I did ask them to dance a little or to look at one another but Hayden and Savanah where living their moment. They shared some laughs, smiles, and a few kisses with one another which really brought their personalities together in order to capture some very candid images. As a photographer I strive to create beautiful images that show your true personality, sometimes I do so by giving you some direction like telling each other jokes-- and sometimes I just let you live in the moment letting you enjoy each other's presence.
