Mackayla and Jason's love for one another truly is something that lights up a room, and I would know-- as I was tasked with photographing their wedding day at the Logan Temple on July 22nd of this year! The day started off a little behind, and they had a little bit of panic when Jason misplaced the marriage license but that didn't stop these two from having a very memorable day.
Engaged May of 2023, Mackayla is a returned missionary from Southern Utah while Jason grow up in Colorado Spring before they both met at BYU-Idaho. Jason is a quirky guy who 100% adores with beautiful wife-- he was adjusting her dress, fluffing the train, perfecting her hair. Jason was completely focused on making sure Mackayla had not a hair out of place and didn't have to adjust a thing during their bride and groom portraits. Now of course being a wedding photographer that is my job, and I was fixing her hair, dress, and anything else that was out of place-- but it was a very heart warming sight to see Jason care so much for his bride. Mackayla's mother and I where loving every sweet moment these two shared during their photoshoot.
Logan Temple Sealing
The Logan Temple has 11 sealing rooms with each ceremony is about 45 minutes to an hour long. So the temple is very busy all day, which is why I am thankful that Mis. Monson and I discussed taking her daughter's wedding portraits earlier in the day hours before the ceremony was to take place. Good think we did because as I had mentioned at the beginning of this post, Jason had misplaced the marriage license right before they scheduled to enter the Temple, oh no! Luckily, they where able to find it 30 minutes later, sadly their sealing got pushed back by an hour-- but the funny part is the Temple said this kind of stuff happens all the time. I wont lie, I have been a wedding photographer in Northern Utah and Logan for awhile now-- and I have not had a wedding couple misplace the marriage license yet so this was defiantly a first for me.
At the end of the day, these two had a beautiful sealing at the Logan Temple here in Utah. As a wedding photographer I see people during the happiest and most stressful day in their young lives, every little thing that happens helps to turn your wedding day a unique memory-- including misplacing the license and having the ceremony pushed back by an hour.
